Getting better response

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. That is a fancy term for enabling you to automatically get updates when web site content changes. You get fed the new material.

But you can use eConsult RSS feeds to place links in other parts of your site or on partners sites or sites whose audience you wish to be involved in your consultation. Its RS (really Simple).

Lewishan Council for example "syndicate" content (links, but bettter) from their eDemocracy pages to the front page of their website. Have a look www.lewisham.gov.uk . Go to the bottom of the page.

Those one-liners describing the consultation, and acting as a direct link to it, can appear anywhere. On any site (you do need to get permision!).

You can see that it helps with targeting your audience and including the groups you wish to hear from most.

In our ePanel site askbristol, we had RSS feeds for the latest discussions and ePetitions as well as consultations.
